Energy Director™
The Energy Director is a unique predictive energy management system that reduces energy costs for industrial and commercial applications. These cost savings are achieved by using demand response and demand control techniques to reduce utility costs and make use of rate advantages associated with managing peak demand. The system is easily configured and can be organized such that no changes are required in productivity, efficiency, quality, or comfort. Powerit’s technology implements predictive demand control in a way that does not compromise load functionality or impact productivity, building comfort, or product quality. This performance-protecting feature is called Embedded Operator Intelligence™.
Three versions of the Energy Director are available depending on the complexity of the application: Kompakt, Klassik and Intellekt. Predikt™, a building block, menu-based software program, provides the user configuration interface and offers additional reporting and data management options for the Energy Director product. Konnekt™, an industrial grade wireless network, is available to provide flexible and cost effective I/O integration with the Energy Director solution.
Cost Savings:
Intelligent, automated energy control coupled with facility load management tools generates both immediate and long-term savings for commercial and industrial facilities. Savings begin immediately upon system implementation and continue to improve over time as the user refines the settings. Typically, customers pay back their investment in less than two years, and sometimes within a few months of installation. On average, the peak demand cost reduction runs between 10 and 30 percent. Furthermore, many utility companies are willing to pay large industrial and commercial energy customers in return for utilizing demand control and demand response systems such as the Energy Director. These programs further improve the return on investment and can possibly pay for the entire cost of the Energy Director system.
