Powerit Solutions is the leading technology provider of intelligent energy management solutions specifically designed to enable demand response (“DR”), reduce ongoing peak demand via demand control (“DC”), and implement energy efficiency technologies- thereby generating significant cost savings and energy conservation for industrial and commercial customers. Industrial facilities are the largest individual energy users, and have a compelling need for managing demand without disrupting operations. Our Intelligent energy management solution closely monitors a facility’s use of power, uses high-level calculations to predict the timing and severity of potential demand peaks, and implements pre-defined load reduction as required. This results in lower peaks and measurable, month-to-month utility bill savings without an impact on load performance.

The Powerit system is packaged as the Energy Director family of controllers: Kompakt, Klassik and Intellekt. Predikt, is a smart software GUI that configures each of the system controllers while providing network access, centralized control and advanced reporting. Konnekt is an industrial-grade wireless I/O system that distributes load control using a reliable connection technology designed specifically for noisy, equipment-intensive facilities.

Company History
The roots of the company date back to 1994 when the original technology was developed in Sweden by a group of engineers associated with Lund University. With little investment in business development, the innovative technology spread to companies throughout Scandinavia solely by customer demand. In 2002, Powerit is formed in the U.S. and, eventually gaining control of the technology, assembles a small management team with deep domain expertise. In 2005, Powerit’s Swedish operations were purchased by Sydkraft, a provider of integrated distribution and sales of power in Sweden. At the same time Powerit’s U.S. operations is purchased by a group of private investors led by current CEO, Claes Olsson.

Powerit continues to be committed to its founders’ mission: To deliver comprehensive systems for controlling power demand and reducing energy costs for commercial and industrial facilities worldwide; and to provide energy management solutions to a wide variety of markets looking to maximize their energy efficiency, reduce their power demand and realize significant savings. Growing Momentum
Powerit has closed $7.1M in its first institutional round of financing which will be used to fuel growth, build its sales and distribution infrastructure, and further enhance product development. In addition, it has just completed acquiring a sister company in Sweden, Diana AB, which shares the same technology platform, provides a strong solution to the commercial energy management and building control market (HVAC, lighting, smoke sensors, chiller systems), and additional engineering resources. Powerit can now offer customers with industrial and commercial applications, seamless, comprehensive, centralized control of power demand by combining its DR and DC technology with Diana’s commercial site management software, while utilizing the same device platform.

Diana Solutions AB
Although Powerit and Diana have enjoyed a close relationship for some time; Diana Control only recently joined the Powerit Group. Diana is a well-established company with its main office in Malmö, Sweden and a branch office in Stockholm. The company develops, manufactures, supplies, and installs intelligent energy management and building control systems, such as HVAC, lighting, smoke sensors, and chiller systems for commercial properties. The company’s main product, the ADP3000 Controller, is based on the same platform as the Energy Director and is coupled with their software, DianaView (DiaBild).
